Ti’ Punch: The National Drink of Martinique

The Ti’ Punch is a true symbol of Martinique—simple, bold, and made to personal taste. Traditionally assembled by the drinker, it combines Rhum Agricole Blanc, a touch of cane syrup, and fresh lime. With its minimal ingredients and strong character, each glass reflects individuality while capturing the relaxed spirit of island life.
The Spec
In Martinique, the Ti’ Punch is assembled by the drinker—the components placed before them, the ratio personal.
- 50–60ml Rhum Agricole Blanc
- 10ml cane syrup
- One disc of fresh lime.
- Press the lime gently
- Add rum
- Drink at any hour
Why the Lime Disc, Not a Wedge
The disc contributes aromatic skin oils more than juice, keeping the drink from becoming a sour. The Agricole character—fresh, grassy, vegetal—is the point of the drink. The lime and syrup frame it, not define it.
